Chapter Twelve

Maxine could not get rid of the smile on her face the next day. She had never felt as sated as she did the past two nights. Still amazed that it was possible to have more than one climax a night, let alone numerous sets of multiple climaxes in a matter of hours.

Her pussy clamped and her nipples tingled every time she thought of Quade in her house and in her bed. He might not have shown her his romantic side, but his sexual expertise, blew every single circuit in her body.

A knock on her office door interrupted her thoughts and she called to enter. Her assistant, Debra, peeped inside.

“Mister Hallow is here for his appointment.”

“William Hallow? Was he not here just yesterday?”

“Yes. I also found it strange when I looked at the appointments this morning.”

Debra handed her his file and she flipped through it with a frown. Hallow wanted reconstruction done on his front gums. Maxine frowned as she looked at the pictures and X-rays she took the previous day. She shook her head and muttered.

“I don’t know what this man wants. There is nothing wrong with his gums. I suppose I have to hear what he has to say. Please bring him through, Debra.”

Maxine remained seated behind her desk when William Hallow walked in. He was tall and very confident, attractive in a rugged way. His dark brown eyes lit up when they fell on her and she stiffened. Since she’d entered the club, she had come to identify looks and expressions rather well. She did not like the glint in this man’s eyes.

She nodded to him in greeting and folded her hands on top of her desk. Her voice was professional and deliberately polite.

“Mr. Hallow. I did not expect to see you again so soon. What can I do for you today?”

“I considered everything you told me yesterday and I did some research of my own, but I still feel we could improve on my gum profile.”

Gum profile? Who the devil cares or even notices a gum profile?

“Mr. Hallow, I honestly don’t believe you require any surgery. But if you are adamant about having surgery, I am sure you could consider gingival flap surgery. It’s a procedure used to treat gum disease. If that interests you, I will refer you to an excellent periodontist.”

“I don’t want a referral, Doctor Dwyer. I want you to perform the surgery.”

“I am not an expert on gums, Mr. Hallow. Bones and teeth are what I specialize in.”

“Nevertheless, you are the one that I want.”

This time there was a definite double entree and Maxine fisted her hands. She looked at the attractive man in front of her with a closed look.

“As I said, I am not a specialist and I am afraid I will not be able to assist you. If you need that referral, you are welcome to contact my receptionist and she will convey the message to me.”

Maxine rose, indicating that his time was up. He leaned back in the chair and pushed his legs out in front of him.
